Компания Mythic сегодня опубликовала последнюю часть руководства по подземельям Warhammer Online. Из него вы узнаете сюжетные подробности, а также информацию о том, как попасть в такие инстансы, как Lost Vale или The Eternal Citadel в захваченом Inevitable City.
Lost Vale
The Lost Vale is suitable for a group of 6 level 40 characters.
Entrance Location
Though the voyage is a treacherous one, it is rumored that there are boats along Avelorn"s coast that will take stout adventurers to the Lost Vale.
"I"d lost most of my breakfast and all of my lunch to the rocking waves by the time the lookout called down that he could see land. Straining my eyes into the mist ahead, I wondered for a moment if the spray from the waves had deceived him.
Then I saw it! A shoreline as green as emerald and as idyllic as a painting. The Gaen Vale, at last. Soon my eyes will be gifted with the sight of the Everqueen. Let us hope that I do not lose my heart to her High Elf beauty." -- Becker Hess, Envoy of Karl Franz
Theme
The corruption of beauty and light is at the center of the Lost Vale. Once a place of peace, tranquility, and natural beauty, the Vale now stands as an example of shameless evil. The Everqueen is somewhere within, though none can say if she is the same woman who once graced the woodlands of Avelorn. The High Elves fear the worst, for Alarielle is as a mother to them all.
"Treachery most foul has conquered the land of my youth! What can be responsible for this vileness? Who is to pay for the Vale"s disgrace?!"
The Elysium
Entrance Location
The Elysium is located within the Inevitable City, in the Lost Narrows.
"A garden, you say? You may as well say that the Elysium"s just another plot where farmers grow daffodils and pick weeds. A garden! Ha!
It"s the Elysium, son. It"s a haven of evil within a den of iniquity. No one but Aekold Helbrass enters the place, and only a few but him leave thought its doors. A twisted, tortured thing is Aekold, but he will never admit such. Tzeentch has taken from him his soul, and with it his humility."
-- Greta Naumann, Keeper of Rolls, Altdorf Library
Theme
The Champion of Tzeentch, Aekold Helbrass, holds court within the Elysium in the Inevitable City. The "Gift of Life," granted by Chaos" warping power, is a curse Aekold bears for all eternity. As he walks, flowers and shrubs spring from the barren ground he has trodden.
"Are you a thief who dares enter my secret place uninvited? Or are you an assassin, sent by the lords of Order to see me killed?
It is sad for you that I cannot be killed. Here, let me show you. Not even Windblade can bite me so deeply that I expire.
You, on the other hand, will not be so lucky. Come, Windblade, let us teach this pup a lesson."
-- Aekold Helbrass to a short-lived intruder
The Screaming Cat Tavern
Entrance Location
The Screaming Cat is located along the southeastern docks of Altdorf, marked by a black cat"s silhouette over the door. One need only follow their nose to find the exact location.
"I"ve a mind to knock some sense into that manling, one fist at a time."
"It"s hardly worth the effort, Gotrek. You might as well let him go."
"I don"t never let an insult slide!"
"Now, now. I don"t think he intended any insult."
"Didn"t intend it? Bollocks! Why"d he have the wench serve up that watery ale, then?"
"It was a mistake, Gotrek, as sure as Morrslieb"s made of cheese."
-- Gotrek Gurnisson and Felix Jaeger, overheard in the Screaming Cat Tavern
Theme
The Screaming Cat is the favorite watering hole of the Slayer Gotrek Gurnisson and his human companion Felix Jaeger. When the two come to Altdorf, they spend a good bit of their time drinking and fishing for gossip within the tavern"s musty interior. When navigating the tavern"s smoke-filled and bustling interior, one must take care not to step upon one of the many sleeping cats scattered throughout.
I won"t drink in that place. Ain"t no way I"d ever stoop to it. It"s not that they"ve got bad beer, mind you. It"s just that all them cats make me sneeze like a madman."
-- Kristoph Boer, Sailor
The Altdorf Palace
Entrance Location
The Altdorf Palace is a reminder of the Empire"s power, at it can be seen from much of Altdorf. The Emperor bides his time within the relative security of the Palace, as do his guests and most trusted advisors.
"Talk about majesty! I"ve never seen such an opulent palace! I even saw the Emperor, but I couldn"t speak to him. He"s a busy man and his guards keep everyone at bay. Still, the wine was excellent, and the oysters were as fresh as if they"d been pulled out of the Great Ocean that morning."
